afternoon snack

monday, sept 13

when we pulled into the campground
we found this guy cruising thru the small field
between the front office and the construction workers behind our trailer.

i don't know if the guy in the background knows this moose is here
or if he was just used to him being there and did not think anything about it.

he has the last of his velvet hanging off his antlers

moose have not top teeth.

when they eat

they pull the leaves off the stems

with their tongues and bottom teeth

he eventually got tired of having his picture taken while he tried to eat
so he found a place to lay down and try to hide.




and enjoy the last rays of the warm summer sun
